Academy Awards

Hi there! It's been a few days, but right now, all I can think about is the Academy Awards. Let me start off by saying that I was absolutely thrilled when The King's Speech won Best Picture and Colin Firth won Best Actor. It was a great night, even if James Franco was a bit too dry and the in memoriam section left something to be desired. I personally wanted to see more Tony Curtis. Some Like It Hot clips, anybody? And it seems that they omitted Betty Garrett all together. The hit of the night though was Kirk Douglas. He stole the entire show, "you know...". I am thrilled that he was able to make it to the ceremony and make the most of it. I was also glad to see Eli Wallach briefly for the Honorary Awards. They really do need to sort out their time better. Less of the Documentary & Editing stuff, more of the big awards and people! Still though, a pretty good night.
